On this site you find information about the community of what is known as new St Mellons in Cardiff, its schools, its businesses, its community centres, what you can do and where you can do it and perhaps even who you can do it with! You can find out how to contact your local politicians, where you find the library, and lots of stuff for kids to do. We believe St Mellons is a great community and is made up of people who are working hard to make it even better. Cath Cobb Woods
Cath Cobb Woodlands are located in St Mellons, next to the district shopping centre. It is a very prominent wood in the local area with many people passing through the woods and enjoying its amenities. The woodland provides a reminder of the area before it was developed.
The Cath Cobb Community Woodland Group was established with the residents. The group involves local people in assisting the Council to manage and improve the woods.

Hendre Lake Park is a newly created park in the St Mellons area of the city. The park has been further enhanced and enlarged with the help of European funding and forms a large open space area that is well used by St Mellons residents.
The newly created park will be 143 acres in size with Hendre Lake, which is well used for fishing forming the focus. The park has been designed to retain natural features of interest in this ecologically important area.
