Home-Start is a family support charity offering regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own home, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.  We recruit and train volunteers, who are usually parents themselves, to visit families at home who have at least one child under the age of 5, to offer informal, friendly and confidential support.

St Mellons Community Creche

The crèche is set up to provide good quality affordable childcare to enable parents to access local learning and training. The crèche is sessional and you will only be able to access the service if you’re signed up on a training course.

Victim Support

If you have been affected by crime, Victim Support can help.

Victim Support is the independent national charity which helps South Wales residents cope with the effects of crime.

They have trained volunteers who can:

Talk to you in confidence
Provide information on police and court procedures, compensation, and insurance
Help you deal with other organizations
Provide other sources of help

If you need help and advice, we can put you in touch with Victim Support or you can contact them directly.

Wherever you are in South Wales, Victim Support have a single number you can call.
